Transporter Delivery Van

Whether partition walls, mesh partitions or various floor surfaces – a Transporter has to handle a vast range of different requirements. That is why the Transporter Delivery Van also provides you with the greatest possible flexibility here.

Partitions.
A broad range of partitions are available for the Transporter on request. Depending on the specific requirements, a variety of half-height or full partitions, with or without a window or sliding window are available.

Mesh partition.
In vehicles with short wheelbase, an optional sturdy partition grille made of robust steel mesh separates the load compartment from the passenger compartment. It can be secured and removed in just a few easy steps.

Rubber floor covering.
The load or passenger compartment is available with a washable rubber floor covering on request, a practical loading edge protective trim, and step lighting.

Universal loading surface.
The optional wooden floor is the ideal basis for fitting your vehicle with various shelving systems available from a range of manufacturers. Special adapters for the notches in the floor enable you to set up or remove flexible shelving modules at any time without adhesives or drilling. If the floor is not required, it can be removed again. The respective special body manufacturer is responsible for the correct and secure installation of shelving systems that are attached to the universal floor.

The optional cladding for the passenger or load compartment along with extra fastening aids ensures the best protection and securely holds your cargo in place.

Hardboard side panel trim.
The optional hardboard trim in the passenger and load compartments is especially robust. The hardboard panels are fitted full-height from the floor to the roof frame or half-height in vehicles with window openings.

Anti-theft panel cutting protection.
An anti-theft panel cutting protection in metal-clad area of load compartment is available on request. Cover plates made of polycarbonate provide a high level of anti-theft protection on Transporter models with metal cladding.

Lashing rails.
Optional metal rails on the full-trim side panels and the partition provide additional lashing points for tensioning straps.

Lashing eyes.
Depending on the wheelbase, the load compartment is fitted with six or eight adjustable lashing eyes as standard to secure goods using tensioning straps.

The Transporter has been precisely designed to impress during daily use. Numerous options transform the interior into the perfectly organised workspace. Additional storage space creates even more freedom.

Driver working environment.
When you get into the Transporter, you immediately sense all of the experience that has gone into creating the sixth generation. Everything is intelligently arranged, within easy reach, and has a high-quality finish. Customisable adjustment options allow the driver to create the ideal seating position.

Storage system.
The cockpit offers numerous storage options to help with the perfect planning of a long working day. The intelligent arrangement of the various storage options, compartments, and holders makes the interior a workplace where everything is in perfect order. Valuables can be stored safely in the lockable glove compartment, documents can be tidily filed away in the A4-size middle compartment, and glasses are readily accessible in the roof compartment. There is also a special compartment for a folding rule, while drinks are held securely in the bottle and cup holders.

2-seater front passenger bench seat with storage shelf.
An optional 2-seater front passenger bench seat can be ordered instead of an individual seat. On request, the backrest can be fitted with a storage shelf with two integrated drink and pen holders.

Storage compartment in seat base.
The seat surface on the optional 2-seater front passenger bench seat can be lifted to open an additional storage compartment which can, for example, be used for tools.

The Transporter has the perfect tail end solution, no matter what the job. Ten different variants provide tailored access to the interior. The optional electric tailgate offers great comfort when loading and unloading the vehicle.

10 tail end solutions.
The tailgate is available as standard with metal cladding (fig.1) for the Delivery Van and the Delivery Van Plus. Optionally, the Transporter with a normal or medium height roof can also be fitted with rear wing doors. These have either metal cladding (fig.2) or glass windows (fig. 3), and are also available with an opening angle of 250 degrees, and locks to secure the doors in the open position. For the high roof version, high rear wing doors come as standard – either with metal cladding (fig.4) or glass windows, depending on requirements.

Electric tailgate.
The optional electric tailgate features a variety of control options for comfortable handling: the remote control key for the central locking (opening), the button on the driver's door cladding (opening), the tailgate handle (opening), the pull loop on the tailgate (closing) and the button on the tailgate cladding (closing and stopping). Expand your field of view with powerful headlights or protect yourself against rear-end collisions with extra roof-mounted turn signals.

H4 halogen headlights.
Efficient and attractive H4 halogen headlights with headlight range adjustment come as standard.

H7 halogen headlights.
The bright optional H7 halogen headlights provide a long lighting range, as well as very good illumination to the sides for optimum visibility in darkness. They are an integral part of the Light and Sight package “Plus”.

LED headlights.
The optionally available energy-saving LEDs generate both low and high-beam illumination. The high operational reliability and long service life of LEDs improve safety by reducing the likelihood of failure.

Roof-mounted turn signals (not illustrated).
The optional roof-mounted turn signals offer greater protection against rear-end collisions due to their highly visible position.

The Transporter Delivery Van provides the best entertainment and guidance with the latest radio systems. Their highly user-friendly operation, best connectivity and good sound let you enjoy your daily routine.

“Composition Media” radio system.
The optional system consists of a 16.5 cm (6.33-inch) TFT colour display, a touch screen with proximity sensor, an MP3- and WMA-compatible CD drive, a 4 x 20 watt output with four loudspeakers, an SD-card slot, an AUX-IN interface, and a USB port compatible with devices including iPhones in the glove compartment, a Bluetooth connection for mobile telephones, and a dual tuner with PhaseDiversity for optimal radio reception.

“Composition Colour” radio system.
The optional system consists of a 12.7 cm (5-inch) TFT colour display with touch screen function, an MP3- and WMA-compatible CD drive, a 4 x 20 watt output with four loudspeakers, an SD-card slot, an AUX-IN interface, a USB port compatible with devices including iPhones, a Bluetooth connection for mobile telephones, and a dual tuner with PhaseDiversity for optimal radio reception.

“Composition Audio” radio system.
The optional system consists of a TFT monochrome display, a 2 x 20 watt output with two loudspeakers, an SD-card slot, an AUX-IN interface, and a USB port.

This optional package includes a spectacles pocket, a reading lamp, storage compartments on the single seats, sun visors with a vanity mirror, grab handles on the A pillars, a dual-tone signal horn, and dimmable instrument lighting, as well as a 12 V socket integrated in the dash panel.

The height-adjustable, ergonomic driver’s seat offers perfectly configured seating comfort with the optional electrically adjustable lumbar support.

Intelligent driver assistance systems make travelling in the Transporter Delivery Van even more comfortable because they warn you when the vehicle is in danger of unintentionally changing lanes or if you become tired.

Adaptive Cruise Control ACC and “Front Assist”.

Adaptive Cruise Control ACC.
The optional Adaptive Cruise Control ACC automatically adapts the vehicle’s speed to that of the vehicle driving in front and maintains the distance set by the driver.  At the same time, it remains within the set speed. Already includes the “Front Assist” ambient traffic monitoring system.

“Front Assist” ambient traffic monitoring system with City Emergency Braking System.
The optional “Front Assist” ambient traffic monitoring system uses a radar system to detect situations where the distance to the vehicle in front is critical, and reduces the vehicle’s stopping distance.  In dangerous situations, the system alerts the driver by means of visual and acoustic signals, and with a warning jolt of the brakes.

Lane change assist “Side Assist”.
The optional lane change assist “Side Assist” displays a warning signal in the door mirror if one of the system’s sensors registers a vehicle in the blind spot when changing lanes.

Driver Alert System.
The optional driver alert system uses visual and acoustic warning signals to recommend that the driver takes a break as soon as it registers driving behaviour that indicates tiredness.

Brake assist system.
Registers the speed at which the brake pedal is pressed. During a reflexive or emergency braking action, it ensures that full brake pressure is built up more quickly.

Hill Start Assist.
The standard Hill Start Assist prevents the vehicle from rolling back on inclines and makes handling easier when starting up on uphill slopes.

Tyre monitoring display.
The optional tyre monitoring display warns when there is a deviation in tyre pressure and indicates to the driver to check tyre pressure as soon as possible.

Parking made easy: Whether ParkPilot or reversing camera – the clever parking assitance in the Transporter Delivery Van provides you with acoustic or visual warnings of obstacles.

ParkPilot.
The optional ParkPilot emits audible warnings when obstacles are detected in front of or behind the vehicle when parking, and also provides a visual display of the vehicle’s distance from the obstacles.

“Rear View” reversing camera.
The optional “Rear View” reversing camera simplifies parking by showing a limited view of the area behind the vehicle on the display of the radio or navigation system. Additional static guidelines facilitate the parking process.

Automatically dimming high beam lights along with extra lights which show you the way when cornering, even in poor weather – all this is available to you.

High-beam assistant “Light Assist”.
The optional high-beam assistant “Light Assist” automatically dips the headlights for oncoming vehicles or vehicles travelling ahead before they are dazzled. Above 60 km/h and in complete darkness, the system automatically switches on the high-beam headlights.

Fog lights with integrated static cornering light.
The optional fog lights with integrated static cornering light ensure optimal visibility in poor weather conditions. The headlight nearest to the corner illuminates the roadside when turning.

The optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive provides good traction, optimum handling and steering, and helps you to master even difficult conditions like driving on wet roads, in the mountains and on snow covered tracks. Upon request, the 4MOTION all-wheel drive is also available with the dual clutch gearbox DSG – a unique drive concept in its vehicle class.

The optionally available 4MOTION all-wheel drive is now fitted with state-of-the-art transmission generation all-wheel traction. Advantages include reduced weight, and further enhancement of vehicle handling and dynamics.

4MOTION all-wheel drive with dual clutch gearbox DSG.
The Transporter is the only vehicle in its class available with the optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive, and optional 7-speed dual clutch gearbox DSG.

Hill Descent Assist.
The optional system for Euro 6 engines allows you to drive down slopes in a safe, controlled way, thanks to the engine management’s ability to govern the engine speed, and apply the brakes if necessary.

Mechanical differential lock.
The mechanical differential lock is available for the rear axle together with the optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive. This makes starting up in adverse, off-road conditions much easier.

Engine underride guard.
An optional, robust aluminium structure reliably protects the engine and gearbox on uneven roads and terrain.
